Hi Yakumo Thinking of getting new 2100 in 1 games family open board version Has dual core are these reliable with great emulation. Also I have pandora 4 in cab at moment needed an adapter to get around Wiring issue wouldn't credit up. Will I have the same problem With game king/games family or do these PCBs except straight jamma Or will I have to use my Pandora adapter
Never understood these, I coded my own JVS interpreter for Taito Type X2 and put MAME 0.173. Installed 4GB ram and Q6600 CPU. Can Play Tekken 1, Tekken 2 etc. Those Pandora boxes are just overprized crap old 30$ pcs.
The game King will allow you to add credits from a standard Jamma interface but if I was you I'd buy an old office PC for dirt cheap then beef up the specs and add a custom frontend. I now use an i5 with 8gb RAM, SSD and Nvidia Graphics card and custom front end. This system can run games at around Xbox One level of graphics although I only use it for Arcade emulation. Far better and only slightly more expensive than a Game King. I made a video about it on You Tube. You can find it on my channel.
Thanks for advice unfortunately I don't have time or technical know how That's why I went for Pandora's box 4 easy plug and play solution. But u get what u pay for I guess, my cab has crt vga monitor Screen tearing bad on most games. Is this monitor issue or Pandora Don't want to buy game King if same issues apply.
The Pandora, as well as Blue Elf systems from China are pretty crappy in my honest opinion. They include lots of software just to boost the game count, but most of them have emulation issues. Usually bad sound, screen tearing, filter problems (Blurriness), slowdown, and other things. If you want a really quick and dirty drop in solution, I suppose they'll do. But if your paying any significant amount of coin, your better off spending more to get a proper system/setup, than spend a moderate amount of money and being unhappy for many years.
Has anyone dumped/ghost'd the HDD image from these Game King/Games Family machines? I wouldnt mind taking a look at it.
