This is just a simple question. How is it that people are able to get their hands on unreleased or prototype games? Isn't the company that makes the game supposed to keep these kept away in a deep dark place? I'm probably wrong about that... I'm just curious.
Ex: Some people do not realize they are prototype games and/or do not realize the potential value and they give them to others for free. ;-)
Magazines were given or lent EPROM samples of games all the time, back in the day. Some games even got full reviews in the magazines (eg: Squashed for the NES) when the game company suddenly decided not to publish it.
Kind of like how movies are reviewed before they are released in theaters. I understand now. Thanks a ton :nod:
