Hey folks! I'm GEL and well...I was just invited here to promote my show, GameBabble.

Basically it's yet another videogame review show (though I've been meaning to cover some other crap because I feel like it) but the closest thing I've got to a twist is...well...I try to prioritize obscure games not a lot of people talk about. We've got hundreds of people doing reviews of Super Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect and Bayonetta! What we NEED is someone to review the less talked about games like Blades of Time or Rhythm Party! So...that's what I do!

But this being me, each episode seems to inadvertently start with some kind of excessively lengthy history lesson. This wasn't intentional but shoot, I don't think I can think of a better way to start a review than "What is this game and where did it come from?"!

You can view the whole thing on Blip.tv, where it's nice and organized:

...or YouTube where it's mixed in with a bunch of random crap:

For the record, "GameBabble" is actual review episodes. "Gaming with GEL" is basically me doing a Let's Play minus the whole "being good at the game" and "actually beating it". Mostly they wind up being Picture-in-Picture things of me trying various motion control games.

I also have a Blog where I write things in the desperate hope of becoming a Professional Games Journalist (cue laugh track):

I've been doing the show for a while and thus quality and equipment has changed numerous times...and no I don't do new episodes nearly enough. Episodes 1 and 2 covered multiple games and in later episodes I became more focused. I'd say my worst episode is probably my review of Golden Axe: Beast Rider. I almost wanna revisit that one to do it better.

If I had to recommend any specific episodes, I am pretty proud of my recent review of Blades of Time (I'm probably the only person that reviewed that game so positively):

And I think my review of Shooter: Space Shot is worth a look consider the crowd here:

There's also the "We Cheer Saga" as it were. Yeah umm...We Cheer is a cheerleading game on Wii...and it's good. This...was not something I expected. So we've got my first encounter with it, where it helped cheer me up when Samba de Amigo Wii brought me down:

Then we have me pitting the game against other Wii music games of the time, including two imports:

Then the sequel came out and I was preposterously happy:

...then Ubisoft released Just Dance and I cried.

As for Gaming with GEL? Well I did spend a weekend with a copy of Kinect Star Wars and my struggles with the Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor demo are humorous and yes I did do some picture-in-picture We Cheer 2 but if there's anything ASSEMbler-centric it's probably my XaviX videos:

Just Jackie Chan's Fitness Power Boxing and Tennis. I need to try the rest of them.

So...yeah! Enjoy, comment, complain or whatever! Tackling a tricky subject next episode (with that you can PROBABLY guess what it is) so I've gotta iron a few things out and refine the "script" (I don't ACTUALLY script my episodes but I do need to play this better). Tried to record it today and it wound up being over an hour long! XD Umm...yeah...let's try again tommorrow.
