Just because you can sell alot of harware doesn't mean you're a success. You have to have the software and service to keep it up. GameCube had a very hopeful start which fell to pieces really. The Wii hype could die down too. Honestly if the PS3's price drops fast enough, everyone would forget about the Wii. Most of the market still owns a PS2 anyway. The DS does serve as a GameBoy atleast since developers do for some games avoid the touch screen and only use the two screen when it makes sense.
