GameBoy Color's Link Cable

    ....How much would I be able to do with the Link cable interface outside regular gaming things. Can a link cable interface also communicate with PCs or Macintoshes or would I have to totally write software that would do such things and the hardware to make it talk to the PC? How much bandwidth does the Link cable offer in capacity?

    Back in the day, there was a device called the PcBoy which allowed to connect the Game Boy (Color) to your PC.
    It could be used to emulate a Game Boy Printer and save the printouts as BMP files. It also worked as a cheat device for several games such as Pokémon Gen 1 and 2 (for trading Pokémon you generated on PC), Harvest Moon, Dragon Quest etc.
