GameCube component cable?

Hi everybody. Just made a trade for a gc component cable thinking it was worth it, but was later told they were a tough sell compared to how they seem to be going on ebay. Any thoughts? Just curious, I'll probably hang on to it anyways being a gc collector.

The cables themselves are annoyingly expensive so if it was a fair trade I'm sure it was fine

 

They're distinctive. Gamecube component cables simply work. No fuss, no solder.
Wii may be cheaper. Except you're stuck needing a Wiimote + batteries, at EVERY bootup, and the video quality is (if marginally) less sharp.

 

I traded Chrono with the box and a beat manual, just wanted to get my value's worth out of it because I had no need for it and was planning to turn it. Probably value it at $230ish CAD. Kickin myself a bit but I overpaid anyway/would rather grow my gc collection

 

No you're not. Believe some kind of mod allows you to use a GC controller.

 

Homebrew channel, and usb loader gx shares some visual similarity with the main launcher

 

I already use all those on my homebrew wii which I use on a crt anyway. Really the whole draw to the gc component cable in a lot of people's eyes is the ability to use the gameboy player with progressive scan. It's definitely worth having if you want your games to look the best possible, but I wouldn't pay what they are going for now.
