Gamecube component cables

    I received a set of component cables with my Panasonic Q; I had no clue it was included as well so it was a nifty surprise.

    Now if only I had a TV that would use it.. >.>

    The XBox and PS2 both had component cables available. The difference? Nintendo crammed a chip into the component cable so you couldn't even think about making your own generic cables.

    Leave it to Nintendo to destroy anyone being able to enjoy 480p goodness on F-Zero.

    last time i checked nintendo of australia still has them in stock. they're about $50 AUD (postage included)
    i bought one just to play baten kaitos 2 and adventure island in progressive scan mode. thank god for the freeloader?

    They did it this way in order to keep the cost of the console lower. The console launch price was $200.

    Quick question: was there any PAL GameCube games that supported progressive scan out of the box?
