Traded for Gamecube not a long ago, but it comes without controller. Went to eBay to see some crazy prices for original ones, tried to win an auction (used, white variation) and was overbid in last seconds with bid which was almost about 20$ (WTF!). Even the whole complete console could be cheaper than its controller, it's an absurd.
Decided to choose between third-party controller and PS2 converter, what's the best variant? There's too many of them, any good sellers/stuff to buy? Saw too many HK shops on eBay, their rating is almost zero.

    I don't care about colors.
Well, these crazy prices again, but I see some 6$ variant. Only thing - how I know Amazon will send all stuff only via EMS - this service in russia is absolutely fuckin' sucks.

Thanks for this MadCatz info, heard before about this company.
Last two links are pretty good variants, but..."Not available to Russian Federation". At least I could ask about international shipping, but not in this case.

I believe Nintendo's white controller was Japan only.

Were they Nintendo or Pelican? The Gamestop brand is also made by Pelican.

Since the Wii no longer supports Gamecube the white "Wii" Gamecube controllers will go clearance soon. It looks to have a nice auto fire button.

There was a mention earlier about the Mad Catz gamecube controller. I bought the larger one and was disappointed in the program button not being able to truly auto fire. Ignoring that, it is a very good 3rd party controller with lighter clicks in the triggers.

My reviewed with the PDF manual here:

How much and can you get a SKU on the next visit? Been looking for the white ones.

I'll see what I can do I don't go to target much on account of the fact their electronics department sucks but I do need an organizer for my controllers so I'll see if I see any one next vist.

The Wavebird is an awesome controller - probably the best wireless controller ever, in my opinion. They can be pricey though. Gamecube accessories in general tend to be rather expensive for some reason. I'd love to have a component cable, but the prices on those are pretty ridiculous.

I just picked up a Wave Bird from a GameStop for $18. Probably will eBay it for a tidy profit later.

In Japan, you see Nintendo Gamecube consoles all over the place for near nothing in Black, Silver, Purple and Orange for under $5 you can take your pick and a lot come with the Gameboy playey, however they are all generally loose with no controllers. Controllers even second hand tend to sell for well over Y1000 in good condition but they are harder to find.

The White ones have now been discontinued in Japan and they most places sold out of them at their regular prices. I snapped up all the white pads I could from my local shop before they sold out.

The White ones as far as I can tell were never sold outside of Japan, there are third party ones that look very much like the official ones from a distance but a closer look will show that the plastic is different and it lackes the Nintendo Gamecube logo.
