Can someone tell me if my understanding of all the different GC dev bits is correct: NPDP-GDEV. Full development system that can read data either from grey NPDP or ODEM PCI card. Includes Gamecube SDK. NPDP-GBOX. Test system that reads data from grey NPDP cart only but otherwise has the same hardware as the NPDP-GDEV. NPDP reader (or NPDP console). Basicly a gamecube that reads grey NPDP carts instead of DVD. NPDP-SW. Device that copies data to NPDP cart using custom nintendo PCI card. NPDP-GW. Same as a NPDP-SW but can also copy to multiple NPDP carts (either via the custom PCI card or from an existing NPDP cart) NPDP cart. Grey cart with hard disk inside that you put game images on to test etc. NR writer (or NR burner). Device that uses SCSI (I think) or something nintendo custom to burn game data onto NR disks. NR reader. Gamecube that plays NR disks instead of regular gamecube disks. NR disk. Special write-once disk used for testing gamecube data. I think that covers all the official GC dev hardware in current use...
Theres also an Sn-systems sn-Tdev. Looks like a standard cube, just brown and with a USB lead comming out the bottom/side http://www.snsys.com/GameCube/SN-TDEV.htm
NPDP-GBOX. Test system that reads data from grey NPDP cart only but otherwise has the same hardware as the NPDP-GDEV. = Except that its minus the ODEM interface and plus it has a built in USB2EXI interface. NPDP-GW. Same as a NPDP-SW but can also copy to multiple NPDP carts (either via the custom PCI card or from an existing NPDP cart) = It can't copy directly from another cart. NR writer (or NR burner). Device that uses SCSI (I think) or something nintendo custom to burn game data onto NR disks. = Definately SCSI ...Oh yeah, don't forget the AMC DDH Dev Kit
I have been trying to get that thing for a couple of years now, but I have only ever seen one of those in the wild. That thing is rarer than FF7 on the N64. :-(
