You can find the files to make your own here.

I started work on this a few months ago, but put the project on hold once I realized that my equipment would not be capable of producing the plug.

I ordered my prototype from Shapeways, it cost around $5 to have it made, plus $5 shipping.
To build the final connector you will need to obtain a PCI slot, I had one in a junk bin. You can also buy them on eBay/Alliexpress for pretty cheap.

Installing the pins is easy, they slide into the connector and seat into a small cutout at the top and bottom, if you insert them without a guide in the opening you might need to pop the pin into its guide hole at the front of the connector.

    Very nice.

Has there been any success in cloning the MX chip on the official component cable? Seems like you would need something like that to move forward.

The GCvideo project has created a solution to output either component or HDMI from the digital port.

I have a few GCVideo lite boards to program, I'm going to use this as a base for a box to plug in and provide component rca jacks off the back.
