Hi! I'm trying to set up Homebrew on my GameCube, but I need the action replay software to do so. In some of the versions you couldn't upload your own codes, meaning no homebrew. Which versions can you upload your own code and where can a find a decent price on these versions? Any answers would be appreciated.

IF you have an SD adapter you can use it with any AR with it plugged into slot b.

But if you can't upload your own codes then you can't upload SDLOAD right?

It will give you a menu to load homebrew. From there you just load whatever.

Since the AR disks are somewhat rare now. I found it to be easier just to install a Xeno chip (6 euro shipped!) then burn an ISO of the proper disk onto a regular DVD, then run the cube with the top case off. I have an SD Gecko that I launch my homebrew from, this is just the way I did it back in the day, very cheap and easy.

Yeah, just gotta remember to adjust your POT if the disc doesn't work.

So even the new "works on wii and GameCube" version can run homebrew?

Datel SD Media Launcher will do what you want for stock GameCube although the supplied SD card reader is junk and needs replacing with $3 wii/GC reader.

Also you can only use SD cards no larger than 2GB in size unless you launch swiss application ( GC-Forever.com ) then swap card to say 128GB.

Sorry for saying this, but as far as I can read. Then it is still possible to get Action Replay from codemonkeys in the UK. So is their an NTSC version of AR that can not be bought any more or what ?
