Hydro, sorry to say this, but you are a prime example of why I do what I am about to do, in fact you were one of the major catalysts.

If you were a genuine seller, you would tick "Notify me when a reply is posted". That e-mails you every time a reply is posted, then you take the time to check your replies.

Guys, this is the guy who was selling 7 spindles of GD-Rs. I believe it was hydro, not the other guy, that adam-james was referring to as the seller who only takes Western Union.

So, hydro, you wonder why people don't go for your deals on here? Let's see:

    1. You joined this forum JUST to sell, and that's all you post about.

    2. You don't bother to check your own posts.

    3. You post NO information on yourself - no location, no post in the introduction thread to tell us about yourself.

    4. You don't post pictures. Some of the items you stand to make so much that you could afford to take a picture, have it developed and ask them to put it onto CD. A disposable camera and developing is what, $10-20? Or a webcam - they start at around $30. When you stand to make $1400 then that's nothing.

    5. If I interpreted Adam-James' message right, you only accept Western Union. CLASSIC sign of a scammer. What's more, he says you admit to oweing PayPal money! Apologies if I have mistaken you for someone else there, though.

    6. You use a free web-based e-mail address, not an ISP address or a paid for domain that is traceable.

    7. When forum members contact you to point out that your asking price is too much, you are rude to them.

    so, as always.....

TO NEW USERS (especially those wishing to sell or buy)

    1. update your profile so it says your location. This will greatly aid someone who wants to buy from / sell to you (e.g. better idea of postage costs / whether the item is PAL/NTSC)

    2. go to the "Off Topic" forum. Go to the "Sticky: Introduce Yourself !" thread. Introduce yourself in there (follow everyone else's lead regarding what to put).

I think I'm done with this board. Adan James is full of shit. I told him cashier's check, money order, and that I preferred Western Union. He even tried to send the money but was unsuccesful, so he backed out. And I do not owe Paypal money, they burned me; why do you think there is a law suit against them. I'm part of that. My only other email is my work email, which I cannot use. I have always sent pictures anytime people ask for them and who says I gotta put in them in the post. You too lazy to send me an email. I specifically state that I do not check the posts too often, so that negates that whole argument. In closing, I've sold probably 40 or so items successfully since last June. If no one wants to defend me fine; if you guys wanna be haters then fine. I am honest and have really good stuff for cheap, but I guess I'll take my wares somewhere else.

P.S. Last time I sold an NR Reader (successfully, mind u), they we're going for 4-5 hundred. I wasn't aware they had gone down so much. My bad, but u ain't gotta swing on my nuts for it:) Thanx and bye.

I've posted this in about three topics. Retro posts this all the time. Christ, make it a sticky and he wouldn't have to post it 800 bajillion times.

    That was really lame.

Edit: I'm not saying it's not helpful, because it is, but I'd prefer it to be a sticky or something so retro doesn't have to constantly repeat himself w/ page long posts.

  14. I think you may have gone just a bit overboard, retro. Hydro has been around since even before I joined, I believe, and while I have never bought anything directly from him, I've not heard a complaint yet, and with the high-profile items he usually sells, you can be sure someone would let others know if they got burned.

I for one didn't notice the post from Legit, but I've been out all day.

And about retro's recent posts on new buyers and sellers (although hydro is anything but new): If they were made sticky, people would just skip over them, just as they do the current Sale Guidlines topic that tells them where to post eBay sales, etc. Spam-like though it may be, at least the posts are read this way, and I for one don't think a seperate topic will get the viewship needed for the topic.

But back to the original post - while it is ultimately your decision hydro, I hope you don't let the misunderstanding put you off from trading on this board. :smt023

Please hydro94530 don't leave the boards. I know LeGIt and other members have done deals with you with no problems, I remember you from the old boards too. I understand perfectly that much people is busy and don't have the time to check or post in the boards frequently.

Hydro comes around with nice stuff so now and then, so give him a break and just let him do his business.

  17. I've ordered from hydro94530, a couple of times, and have always found him to be a genuinely fine trader.
