Hi, Just was wondering if anyone has any info on this. I picked it up about a year and a half or 2 years ago from a local ad. I know what the NR reader is and was used for, but it's the discs and what's on them that I'm more curious about. The guy that sold it to me said he was working for a games company (not sure which one), and they had a few of these lying around and "acquired" it before they went to the bin. So i was wondering whether anyone knows anything on the development of these games or how likely they would be to be finished games. I don't actually have the retail releases of them to test against but from what I've played they seem fairly complete. Thanks!

I think the only way to know how close they are to the finished games are playing them. You could record yourself playing and upload it to youtube so everybody can see it and discuss any possible differences.

Edit: you can also check the dates on the discs and the release date for the retail games. The closer they are, the bigger the chances of the build being the same as the retail game.

Firstly, that's a nice pick up you got there.

The discs are builds of the games mentioned throughout development.
The dates on them will relate to the date the company burned the images to the disc for testing. The discs either stay in-house or may have been sent to various reviewers at magazines etc... (if that is the case you will sometimes see an 'Embargo' date on the disc too meaning said reviewer cannot publish any information until this date).
A lot of the time these discs will contain final or very near final (review) data but sometimes, if you look hard enough, you might find something interesting.

If you are looking to sell any of them please give me a shout, I am sure we can work something out.

Yeah I might actually pick up the retail releases and see if there's any differences.

Going by the titles of the other games, it looks like they all came from the same developer - VU Games.
BUM should stand for 'Butt-Ugly Martians'.
