Is there a way to mod the GameCube PAL to always boot the Game Boy Player without using the disc?
I always wanted to have a GameCube converted to Game Boy Player.
I was thinking that somehow there are some pins on the Game Boy Player motherboard that I have to wire to achieve this.
    Can someone help me?

    Thanks!

Pretty sure it's not possible without modification (modchip or softmod)

Yeah, I don't think you can just do some soldering to achieve this. The GC must know where to load the data from and what it should do with it.

You could probably use a WASP disc emulator and autoboot the GameBoy Player dol executable. Or better yet, you could autoboot Extrem's Game Boy Interface.

Can someone tell me how to install Extrem's Game Boy Interface mod on my console?
I have a Sony Triniton CRT, GameCube PAL DOL-001, Game Boy Player and EverDrive-GBA X5 latest version.

    Thanks!

Then I will stick with the disc.. too much hassle...
I was thinking that using a GC memory card with SD support will somehow load the .dol file :D
When you read through the forum page it say only: requires the Game Boy Player hardware and Extract archive to root of SD card.
    No installation information are given.

its not that complicated. It's simply loading a save from an SD card instead of a standard memory card.

Or you could install a mod chip. Your choice.

Oh. You'll need a way to get a hacked save file onto a GC memory card (or find somebody who can).
GC doesn't natively support SD cards, software has to enable them first.

Modchips like Qoob and Viper are very hard to find and expensive.
I will use it in the normal way.
Thank you everyone for the help but is too much hassle.
