humm maybe i shouldn't have swapped some stuff for a gamecube Q missing its cables.
So i was thinking about buying one of the Nintendo component cables (despite the price) but a friend suggested that the Q one is different to the GC one.
i've never noticed 2 versions before...
    is this correct?
    thanks for help

Pretty certain it's exactly the same Digital AV port as any other Gamecube (before they were removed).

On another forum a user says the Q does not support DVD playback through the digital out port, only through the composite output. For GameCube only, I'm pretty sure they both use the same ports.

Isn't it just a DVD player and a gamecube in the same case with some clever switching going on? In which case the gamecube specific digital out is unlikely to get DVD playback. I was under the impression some of the audio outputs were hooked up only to the DVD player.

If you look closely at the picture, it says (GAME) or (DVD/CD) next to some of the ports.
