Gamecube Region mod solderless

    I finally managed to solder to the holes after R5's points didn't take. Now I have to find a place to put that switch, and I accidentally bought one that didn't fit the vent, but that's not a big problem. I booted up my only JP Gamecube game it worked as well as when I used my Freeloader. That guide I linked to helped a lot more than the others floating around.

    Tape is a bad idea, you'd lose more money/ a good system that way. Just solder it and save your self the $20 for another GC

    Yeah they use very different approaches.

    Region switch is an official devkit feature that transforms the Gamecube itself from English to Japanese.
    Freeloader like a modchip, merely forces JP games to run under English mode.
