Well, I think tmbinc used IDA Pro on some of the .elf files (converted from .dol files using doltool) found on the GC Service Disc image I gave him. Says it reconstructed the code very well. Depending on what you are looking for thats a good place to start - those test programs access any specific part of the GC hardware you might be looking for. If you're looking for some advanced coding techniques and are looking to learn by example, at least one demo included the source code, used for dumping the data from the GC's EFB to a bitmap on a PC. Also, the Dodger demo put out by Radical Entertainment has a very in-depth whitepaper with specific code examples provided as well. What exactly are you looking for?
I dumped one of the hard drives in my DDH units, the advantage being the hard drive is not encrypted like the npdp carts. http://assemblergames.com/images/gamecube/amc.html I need the dolphin sdk to progress any further, so if anyone can help please pm me.
I dont suppose there are any tools for dealing with H4M files? Its the video format the Gamecube used. As far as I know its yet to be cracked.
Well have the two hard drives full of source code. Problem is there doesn't seem to be any kind of viable gamecube scene left. There's no point in me releasing all of it if it's going to go nowhere.
Well there's no point of... not releasing them. Surely there's someone who would appreciate it, you don't know!
My little DDH might appreciate it Yeah I guess most of the scene have started to move on to the Wii now.
If you still need gamecube sdk, i've got a backup somewhere with tons of sdk stuff. Also if you got source to stuff, post it. It might be fun to check out and maybe port to pc or other platforms.
This could be nice addition to Technical documentation and software tools thread, if it's not against the rules?
Nope, after all. Of what I remember then gamecube stuff there is NOT illegal. But maybe some could correct me, if I am wrong.
As far as I´m aware only current generation software isn´t allowed so sharing GC software shouldn´t be against the rules.
