Hi! I just bought a v2 adapter and I'm loving it

I know there is already discussion regarding the Raphnet adapter so I'd like to include personal opinion, two screenshots and more http://www.raphnet-tech.com/support/gc2n64/index.php#upgrade

First the new feature which I like the most is this one
"2) Toggling the old v1.5 joystick value conversion (since version 2.0)
Firmware version 2 uses what we consider an improved formula to convert the analog stick values. But in case some users prefer the old behaviour (which has slightly less sensitive diagonals) there is a way to toggle between the old and then new formula."

I will post a screenshot between the difference of both versions.

This is Version 1.5 (slightly less sensitive diagonals):[IMG]

    This is Version 2.0:

You can change in game from 1.5 to 2.0 to see what works best for you. To do this, just hold start for 8 seconds then press R and then press B, in less than two seconds the adapter light will turn off and done.

There is another feature which I find useful in some games
"Toggling the dead-zone feature (since version 1.3): The adapter can generate a deadzone (feature diabled by default). This is required for some gamecube controllers that do not always recenter exactly at 0,0 and depending on the game, this can cause issues".

What does it do?: Less sensitive in center, I'd recommend not disabling it while playing F-zero or if it's too sensitive you might turn it on (Turn the dead zone feature on) to see if that works for you.

Games that are better played with GNC controller than the original N64 guaranteed:
    1) Excitebike 64
    2) Star Fox 64

In both games you have to change the layout: in star fox, make L and R 50% threshold so you don't have to press the R or L button all way down to do a barrel roll.
    C-Left (N64) to Y(GNC) and C-Down to X(NGC) = doing that you'll have boost in Y and brake with X, it's pretty easy.

If you want to do that, use the Mapping generator on the website http://www.raphnet-tech.com/support/gc2n64/index.php

    Code for StarFox 64 (C-left -> Y, C-Down -> X, Z -> L (50% threshold), R -> R(50 threshold)
To save you time, I did it: BAZXL BAAZBYL ZXAL BBXZXL ZBBL START

How to insert the code? Press start for 8 seconds, enter the code and press Start. If you want to save it, Press start again for 8 seconds, press R and then press Digital UP. DONE

Next time you want to load (boot up) this config, press start for 8 seconds and press digital up.

NOTE: This Gamecube controller is almost brand new, I bought two weeks ago and I didn't open until 6 days ago when my adapter arrived. It's the "Smash Bros" edition. I don't have the original japanese gamecube, I play to buy it but not now.

For some reason this won't let me update mine, it in fact just sees it as a n64 controller.
Edit: mines to old to be updated.

What is interesting is that looking by the pictures (results) I think the controller brand new is better than the 6 days old. I only played Star Fox and some beat em up games using it.. I think this controller was faulty in the box already. I don't think there any major problem with it, but I might use the "Brand new" one for N64 and wait for 6 days and do the test again... :)
