I mean, games like Red Dead Redmeption, the end of Far West, or The Last Blade, the end of Samurai era.
Shenmue tells almost nothing about the Ryo story, its just a little chapter about the searching for a black car ^_^ Im talking about the society, not single person.
Shenmue II shows the Kowloon Walled City a few years before it was knocked down. Admittedly it was tidied up a bit for the game, but still.
Uh? Street of Rage, the end of ... what. People roaming streets? Shinobi games are supposed to be placed in present, alternative reality, ninjas are not in decadence. I dont think Sunset Riders is placed near the end of far west. You can noticed it in Red Dead Redemption coz they have cars and planes. Desert Strike, again, the end of what. Irak? Desert Storm? Modern wars? I'm not talking about specific events.
Saints Row IV? Alien invasion, End of humanity (yet to complete it)......i mean most of the game takes place in a simulation
lol, I don't know. It was just a thought. What about Rampage? Do you want to know basically if in the end of the game everybody dies? I have never played Terminator 3, but maybe that's what you're looking for.
Pretty much every zombie game out there has this "fall of humanity"/"end of an era" theme to it, so check those TLoU is like a mix between TWD and children of men, all works that fall into this category
Don't most RPGs adopt this theme in one way or another? For instance, Final Fantasy VII and the end of Shinra, Final Fantasy VIII and the end of time compression... Isn't Final Fatasy VI about the end of Magitek?
