I think you just stole the title from F3Zero...

Impressive collections but I can't bring myself to spend money on "toys" or "collectibles". I remember ages ago going to stores and wanting to get misc action figures. That's back before they were all made in china with lead paint.

The real hell of it is, my collection is peanuts next to some of the rabid Transformers fans. I don't generally keep items in their boxes, and I don't buy one of each item. The shelves you see there represent toys I have an interest in; I estimate I passed on about 70 percent of the toys that have been available since 2003. It wouldn't be hard to top my collection, although it would be expensive. :)

No coffee cups, condoms or baggies of the actors' dung?

when I look at the star wars collection, first thing I think about is: "damn, that's a helluvah collection !"
second thing is: "damn, each time this guy bought something that lies in this room, some money made it's way to Georges Lucas' pocket !". and now, I understand why Georges Lucas is SO rich lol

Nice collection indeed! Although i dont agree with your title. Old toys turn to shit too. I think i also have an imperial walker toy thing around, but the plastic on that discoloured too and the joints arent as tight as they used to be anymore :/ Judging by the pictures a lot of your gray plastic ships suffer from discolourisation (is that a word?) too.

Like all perjorative terms, 'nerd' is subject to empowerment- disempowerment usage. Originally intended as a term indicating exclusion from social norms, human overpopulation made it possible for organizational subculture formation, which allows groups to create their own norms no matter how different or deviant they may be. Also, as people become increasingly dependent on technology the high intelligence and low socialization ability of a typical nerd is seen as less of a liability and more of a survival advantage, especially in western cultures where individual achievement is celebrated in favor of group accomplishment.

Uh, yeah. 'Nerd' is a compliment now. :)

depends. If i"mlike YOU FUCKING NERD and angry, it's a insult.

If I'm like ":icon_bigg You fucking nerd!" it's a compliment. I personally take pride in my geekdom.

Well there is the guy in the UK that made the interior of his house look like the interior of Voyager from Star Trek.

    That's hardcore nerdage right there.

Was it? Never seen the film.

It made the rounds on all the major geek websites tho. Looked pretty slick (as in it looked professional, not like some shit hack job).
