Yeah, i believe that about the 2 consoles being 386 & 486 respectively, perhaps performance is enhanced on some games, im not sure. You can use a keyboard & mouse on Marty tho. I just figured it would follow suite that FM Towns 2 was a 486, im unsure. As long as no games are specific to 486 FM Towns, i guess all is ok.
yeah, Ghouls N Ghosts and Strider on X68000 look like CARBON COPIES. Final Fight is almost a carbon copy. X68000 has a few less maximum enemies on-screen at once and the lights in the basement of the 1st stage don't flicker. other than that, it is the arcade game. Street Fighter II CE is basicly identical also. truly an incredible feat for a machine that came out about 1 year before Capcom's CPS1.
Seeing as we're o n the subject, anyone got any rom recomends for X68000 that arent arcade ports or Dracula?? Heres a few: Geograph Seal - cool Starfox esque 3D shooting game Phalanx - grandious version of the arcade shooter, different game even?? Mad Stalker & Genocide 2 - both 16bit beefy mech action games, coolio.
There are no Rom links alowed here on ASSEMbler except for PD stuff. Lucky for you that Kemco / ZOOM offer free downloads of a few od=f their games they made for the X68000. Don't have the URL on me but I'm sure it's easy to find using google. Yakumo
What heh. None of that, just want to know about some games that aren't arcade ports. On another note, didnt Zoom produce the cool Zero Divide games on PSX??
