Resistance: Fall of Man. The end got pretty fun. I had about 3 full chapters left when I picked it back up the other day. Good times. Borrowed the sequel. I hope it's as decent. Then again it's pretty hard for me to be actually dissapointed in a game.
Last night I finished off the Demon's Souls platinum trophy on my 4th playthrough. Great game, tempted to go back and start a new character...
Finally finished Kingdom Hearts II, with 100% journal completion. I didn't 100% the gummi ship sections as I found them quite tedious even though I'm a big shmup fan, and as such couldn't be arsed . Not a bad game overall though, a few too many cut scenes for my liking, and it started to drag a bit towards the end (that was a long final boss battle), but overall a pretty solid game and not a bad way to spend 40 hours of your life. Started The Bouncer now, unsure of it ATM, will report back soon .
Fallout 3 GOTY - Recently brought the GOTY edition after completing the normal game some time last year. Was not that impressed with the DLC - a bit too easy - but still a great game. Looking forward to Vegas!
I got them on disc last week But I want to complete GTA San Andreas first. Although I must say that most of the things that are left for me to do seem so dull that I seriously doubt I'll ever get this personal achievement (currently at 86% or so, mostly collecting missions left, and car imports/taxi/vigilante etc).
I havn't finished any games lately, but I've recently been hammering down on Resident Evil 5 - unlocking all of the trophies, collecting all of the emblems, figures, etc. I also ordered Xenoblade and the Xenoblade OST from Japan yesterday. I don't even own a Wii, and I can't even speak or read Japanese, but what the heck, I really want to play through it.
Resistance 2, about a month ago. I liked it. Looks good, the changes in the controls are nice. Acceptable story progression. 7/10.
Kane And Lynch 2 Dog Days - last weekend Nope i didn't like it and the ending sucked plus its a little too short. If i was rating it i'd say a 3/10.
Forgot about this topic. Finished Killzone 2 some time ago. The final battle with Radec was a difficult challenge. Plus the online part of the game is so much fun, that i ended up putting that aside for a while. Can't wait for Killzone 3! Also finished Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, but didn't managed to get all golds. Also, haven't tried all dealership challenges.
Finished a few games the last few weeks as I've been off work . First one was The Bouncer on PS2. I have to admit I don't see the appeal, loads of my friends love it but I find it average at best. The fighting moves are too boring so you end up just spamming certain combos. Finished it with all 3 characters but couldn't be bothered finishing it again with each of them to power up all the unlockable characters (daft way of ranking up if you ask me). Next was Need for Speed Undercover on PS3. This game has so many problems I don't know where to start! It feels like it's been playtested by chimps there's so many glitches! You'll be driving down the road and then all of a sudden the road will disappear and you just start spinning around with the sky in the background. It quite often didn't fix itself either, which means resetting, reloading and restarting the race. AI is terrible too, one minute it'll be far too easy (police chases) the next it'll be insanely difficult! A Supra took over my fully loaded Bugatti when I was boosting at top speed.... Worst of all though is the online, no-one but boosters in most games so you end up just playing by yourself. All that and I still 100%ed and Platinumed it, I love NFS games no matter how bad they are, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but die hard fans of the series. After that was Burnout Paradise on PS3, far too easy and boring offline, but great fun online. So far the only faults I can find are that the trophies made me not want to get 100% in the game. You can achieve the platinum by only doing half of all collectables and you don't even need to get the Elite license. That caused a problem for me as once I had the platinum trophy I felt as though I'd finished the game and I just can't be bothered going back through the game searching out the other collectables and stuff now. I haven't finished playing yet as I still need to buy the DLC to finish all the online trophies and stuff, but so far it's the best online game I've played on PS3 . And finally WWE Legends Of Wrestle Mania on PS3. I used to love wrestling games back on the MD and PS1, but as I grew up I grew out of wrestling and so lost an interest in wrestling games as I didn't know who any of the wrestlers were. Until this game!!! Playing this game brought back so many fun memories!!! I remembered pretty much every one of the cutscenes in the Wrestle Mania tour mode, I t made me feel like a little kid again! It also had a quite intuitive control system that worked really well plus fully customizable characters which was also great. I can't really fault this game at all, great all round. the only niggle I have with it is some of the matches can't be finished 100%, but it's still easy enough to score the amount of points needed for the medal so I'll let it go . I'll stop warbling and let you get back to your lives now
Alpha Protocol. Interesting game, good idea as usual not perfectly executed but was a fun game to play. Didnt really get into the gun customization - never really needed to the pistol and the assult rifle with the odd mod you pick up is more than enough really. Not sure how you are supposed to steath through the whole game, I ended up shooting first!! Can't see me going back through the game to see what would happen if I took different options - manily cause I have soooo many games still to play (and open!) would recommend it as a decent play!!
God of War I, II and III. Probably one of the best and most engaging stories I've ever seen. Also one of the most telegraphed endings I've ever seen (end of three). Good game, disappointing trilogy ending though (they painted themselves into a corner). But once again, a game that doesn't understand the point of an "easy" mode...
I've finished a few games in recent weeks due to having a broken right hand (4th and 5th metacarpal) so I can't work, thank god for videogames, without them I would probably have died of bordom lol. Darksiders I started playing this on release but tired of it easily, but I gave it a second chance, switched off my brain and romped through it...story was ok and presentation was pretty good, just a shame it's so repetitive and most secondary weapons are useless....but EPIC boss battles redeemed it. Here's to a better sequel. Batman AA GOTY I bought this mainly cos my workmates were orgasming about it for months so I had to see what the fuss was about, and what do I find? A metroid ripoff, but a pretty damn good metroid ripoff that I couldn't put down till I finished it. The jokers constant teasing and the brilliant use of bat-gadgets plus all the hidden riddler stuff (bios, interview tapes etc) really suck you into it's world... Can't wait for AA2.
Well finally got DiRT 2 completed although i have to say not on my own, played it most Saturday's with my Father and Brother-inlaw then the last few weeks it's been and Brother-inlaw since father is no longer with us but all i can say is that it was a great game but i'm glad we've finished it and eventually we will move onto DiRT 3 whenever it comes out.
Seeing as i'm stuck at home with stommach flue i played through Halo Reach and Crackdown 2. I have to say that allthough very intense and cinematic, the main campaign in Halo Reach is far too short. On normal difficulty it took me less then 9 hours to get through all the missions which are 10 in total. Crackdown 2 was a lot of fun allthough the story missions can be done in about 10-ish hours if you ignore all side missions/collecting/orb hunting.
Recently finished Modern Warfare 2 and Heavy Rain. Making my way through Metal Gear Solid 2 at the moment, I was obsessed with the first one when it came out so it remains a mystery to me as to why I've only decided to start the second one just now.
I've recently been playing the Scott Pilgrim game repeatedly for weeks now. And that got me pumped to play River city Ransom, which I just beat last night.
