"Hong Kong films" is a pretty loose category, isn't it? I always thought that Shenmue was the definitive kung-fu movie simulator, full of over-the-top drama and ridiculously super-human feats of strength and really chaste, unconsummated romance. For what you're talking about, the Headhunter games and Hybrid Heaven on the N64 might fit broadly into the category too. Coming next: The Indian movie simulator, where you play a young woman who has to come to terms with a marriage arranged against her will!

Jet Li's Rise to honor on the ps2 is pretty damned good Jackie Chan adventures on the ps2 was fun as well, specially the eyetoy mingames but i do agree with what kendrick has said, you are being too generic in what your asking for, there are many games that fit into the action adventure category of games that are not necessarily 'hong kong' games, but inspired by that genre Also if you want to be pedantic about it, there are hundreds if not thousands of games that have at least 1 'hong kong' level or scenario in them that fit into most gaming genres
Don't get me wrong I LOVE EDF but I'm also quite jadded by all things Japanese lately. But yeah I thought I said I'm looking for something with a Good mix of Gun Play and hand to hand fighting. Like Dead to Rights or True Crime with out the suck.
Well if that's what your looking for, there's Oni. Get the PC version, though - the controls on the PS2 version suck. Sure, it has its flaws, but overall I think it's really fun.
Devil may Cry? oololol Wow, Oni was a game that I thought looked great, but the PS2 one was awful. The Pc one has got to be better. I was surprised it was Bungie too.

I like Yakuza a lot too, but it's pretty talky. It's less like a Hong Kong movie and more like a JPN-penned noir film, full of conflicted and complex characters. The combat is a very evolved form of what we saw in Shenmue and Spikeout, and doesn't feature a whole lot of gunplay.
