Army Men Air Combat on Nintendo 64 was amazing. It was terrible on Playstation and PC.

PC also got the XBOX version of Just Cause instead of the XBOX 360 version that is thousands times better.

And the 007 Nightfire PC version is a cheap GoldSrc game (a mod of Half Life, in other words) instead the fantastic new game of consoles (GC, XBOX and PS2).

I remember "Ninja Gaiden" has completely different games depending on the system.

Arcade / Genesis (Unreleased) = Beat Em Up.
    NES / Turbografx-16 = Side Scroller
Sega Master System = Side Scroller (Different storyline/levels to the NES)
Sega Game Gear = Side Scroller (Again totally different compared to the NES and Master System versions)

Sparkster on the SNES and the Mega Drive. The SNES version was more standalone, and the Mega Drive version was more of a sequel to Rocket Knight Adventures. Very different in graphics, music and gameplay.

Jaguar Syndicate is the PV version with a pointless Zoom feature added.Peter Molyneux never a fan of the MD/SNES so console versions are very cut down.

MCD Thunderhawk is very different to the ST/Amiga game.

MCD games like:Batman Returns improved the platform sections from the cart original slightly, but threw in stunning 3D sections.MCD Terminator SE is far superior to MD cartridge version.

You've conversions that replace a 3D viewpoint to that of a 2D one, ie C64 Carrier Command...as hardware not geared towards 3D, CPU far too slow.

Alien 3 is a very different game on SNES/MD and GB game different again.

Then you've things like Aliens on C64..UK version by Electric Dreams very different to USA game published by Activision.

There is also Aztec Challenge (Apple II and Atari 8 Bit) re-written from scratch for the C64....so all they share is the name.

Plus N64 Battlezone:Rise Of The Black Dogs, is supposed to feature a dumber MP mode, but has missions not featured in the PC game, so can be seen as an Alt.Version i guess?.

The original Rampage is visually different across Arcade, SMS, NES and Atari Lynx.

A lot of licensed games on SNES and Mega Drive have the same name, but are different. Sometimes very different.

Strider is different to arcade on the NES, MS Line Of Fire goes from a 1st person 3D affair to a commando-style affair, Scarface is slightly different on PSP, compared to the PS2/PC/Xbox game, think MD Toki level layout differs from coin-op...

These were vastly different between platforms: 007 Nightfire (GC and PC) and Donald Duck Goin' Quackers (N64, PSX, DC, GC).

Nightfire on the consoles (original XBox/PS2/Gamecube) had vehicle sections between the first person shooter sections. Some of the vehicle sections were enjoyable, others less so, but none of them were terrible, and they did suit the game. You even got to drive under water in that white sports car from (I think) The Spy Who Loved Me. Nightfire wasn't a great game, but it was good, and definitely benefited from the driving sections.

But for some reason, the PC version doesn't have the driving sections. I can't remember if the FPS levels vary from the PC to console versions, I don't even know if the PC and console versions were written by the same company. There's a fan made remake for the PC in progress, which aims to merge the PC and console versions in effect, have a look at:
