Games that won't play on an HKT-01 Dreamcast Dev.Box

I remember this was talked about here before, but I cannot seem to find the particular thread.

Does anyone remember the retail Dreamcast games that won't play at all on an HKT-01 Dreamcast Development Box?

 

I can't get it to read a beta of Dynamite Cop.... BUT the disc does work on a retail dreamcast with the SystemDisc2

 

My PAL Retail ver of Crazy Taxi doesn't run on the Dev Kit.

 

Not to drudge up an old thread, but I have a Crazi Taxi beta (very early .3) that won't boot on my dev system, but with a system disc 2 on a retail it works like a charm.

 

Could it perhaps be a firmware thing?

 

I doubt that, since I have a unit with firmware from the sdk10 I believe, and CT and Dynamite Cop don't work....

 

I've noticed several of the "early" games (beta GDR's) won't boot on my device system. I have to use the System Disc 2.
