Alright, this has been bugging me for a bit. I really love me some character customization, especially when I can just import my own sprites/art/portraits! I've bumped into maybe one or two games like this but I KNOW there are more out there...and I wanna know if anyone here knows of any! So lemme list what I know and I'd love to hear if anyone here knows of any others. Legasista (PS3) Honestly this is what got me searching. It's a top-down action roguelike that lets you outright import your own sprites. It's part of the Cladun series, but being able to import pictures from PC was nice. Elminage series (PSP/PC) Some kind of dungeon crawler I just found out about that allows for custom portraits...well sort of. The PSP games do, but the only one of them released in America uses super tiny portraits. Elminage Gothic, which has nice big portraits, was only released in America on PC but had the feature removed for some reason though custom portraits can be hacked back in. Dungeonmans (PC) Seems to require some modding but apparently you can add your own Heroskins. Well of Souls (PC) Ancient online RPG thing that allowed for custom sprites and worlds and everything. Pretty cool if it weren't so grody and I dunno if it even works right anymore. To be honest, a more modernized and evolved version of this would be perfect. I've heard Legend of Grimrock lets you use custom portraits but they're freakin' tiny. Pillars of Eternity allows custom portraits but they may clash with your in-game model. Also some game called Lords of Xulima seems to allows custom character portraits for your unseen party members but the main character is pre-set in his looks and worldmap sprite. And of course you can import your own art in game making toolkits but that's not what I'm talking about here. So anyone know any others I can look into?
Not sure if it counts but Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for PlayStation Vita lets you transfer your previous character from the PSP game SAO: Infinity Moment. From there, you can transfer your Vita save to Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment on PS4. Not sure but SAO: Lost Song might let you do the same for your HF save. EDIT: if the above stuff doesn't count then Tony Hawk's Underground on PS2 lets you use your own face in the game if you went to there site or something like that. You needed to have your PS2 connected to the Internet or use a backwards compatible PS3.
Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on Xbox 360 and now Xbox One with BC. You can use the 360 camera to use your own face in the game.
Err...not QUITE what I mean but thanks for the suggestions. Yeah I more mean being able to import drawings/sprites.
There's a lot of PC games that let you, with maybe needing to fiddle with some directories and stuff.
