lol nope, forever wasnt a reboot, by name by nature eh...

but it had a completely botched development that spanned multiple generations of hardware and even software, passed around to multiple developers then slapped together and squeezed out. there's no reason to believe that a new game would have the same issues given to the right developer and backed by the right publisher. + Bruce Campbell....

    Hail to the King Baby.

What's wrong with having Jon St. John do Duke's voice?

I'm surprised no one here has said 007 Golden Eye for the N64.

Besides the mirror in Mario 64, I remember Banjo-Tooie has a nice reflection effect on the floor of Jiggy Wiggy's temple. Not sure if that counts here..

It doesn't, but at least one level (Egyptian) has a mirrored floor, though it's really a cheat (the area above the floor (the floor being a mirror effect) is just rendered again upside down, so the room's scenery looks like it's reflected in the floor), as you can see by shooting something in the room, such as a pillar, and then you'll see that the bullet hole is where you shot the pillar, but the reflected pillar in the floor has no bullet hole.

BTW, if you liked Goldeneye, then you really should try Goldeneye X, which is a fan made project to mod Perfect Dark to run Goldeneye, so that Goldeneye runs in the Perfect Dark engine and so has enhancements that the PD engine has over GE's, such as speech (Goldeneye only had on-screen text), weather effects, a more definable multiplayer (including up to eight bots), etc. So far (as of version 5b) only the multiplayer is done. It's a fantastic mod (providing you love GE and PD, of course!) and you can either play it on an N64 emulator or on a backup device (I bought an Everdrive 64 just to play GEX, and it's well worth it, it makes up for the recent disappointments of games like Bioshock Infinite (which is actually rather good, but should have been much better), Dead Space 3, and (yes, I bought it) Alien vs. Predator).

    Goldeneye X is at http://www.moddb.com/mods/goldeneye-x

and if you want to read more about the Everdrive 64 (it's great) then see http://s9.zetaboards.com/Nintendo_64_Forever/topic/7360089/

Aliens V predator wasn't that bad tbh i bought it cheap on steam and also mate gave me his copy on xbox 360. goldeneye and perfect dark i like. may check the mod out sometime

from what i remember there was also a goldeneye mod for the source engine but im not sure if this is still around.

every game should have exploding tables and chairs and well everyting should blow up when you shoot it.

Super man 64 also had a level with a very "shiny" floor that had a weird way of reflecting the area.

All mirrors in Silent Hill 2 and 3.

But in both games they have a very unique reflection technique.
In rooms that reflect, there is an exact copy of the room on the other side of the glass.

Here is exactly what i mean:

Pretty sure this was a commonly used technique, as it does nothing more than tricking the player into thinking it's a reflection while requiring no heavy coding into actually reflecting. Can't think of any games off the top of my head that make use of it besides a plethora of Half-life 1 mods & SH (as you pointed out), but I know there is more. . . Even I have made use of this technique in my old GoldSrc mapping years. :friendly_wink:

IIRC some old hl1 maps used that trick too to make a reflective floor (semi-transparent floor with mirrored room underneath). You couldn't see the character though!

NiGHTS, in Suburban Museum there was an indoor section full of mirrors, it was pretty cool back then.
