I just came back with Soul Calibur 3 (GH), Katamari Damacy ($10 each) and Virtua Fighter 5 and Virtua Tennis 3 ($20 each, PS3). There is an extra 10% off coupon in the latest game informer (I get it because I have a Gamestop card). So $57 for those 4. Not bad :020:
Heck yes!! I purchased: Odin Sphere (PS2) $20 Sega Genesis Collection (PS2) $10 Worms Open Warfare 2 (DS) $10 Worms Open Warfare 2 (PSP) $15 Midway Arcade Treasures Extended Play (PSP) $15 I had originally purchased Sonic Mega Plus Collection (PS2) for $10, but then I returned it and added Odin Sphere to the mix. I read that Odin Sphere wasn't the typical RPG -- it's real-time action based. While I'm not a huge fan of traditional RPGs, this took my interest..and combined with the slick, masturbatory 2D spritework, I dove for it today after waiting a few days on it. Katamari Damacy is only a tenner.. but I don't know if I really want it. I'm glad I got the Worms games -- they have online play. One is for myself and the other is for my brother. He's getting a PSP soon. (GoW red special edition, soon to be hacked and loaded with ISOs of these PSP games and ROMs of various PS2 arcade collection games. we own.) An observation: I read somewhere that (the PS2 titles at least) were reprinted up for this promotion. I wonder if that explains why Odin Sphere and Sega Genesis Collection both have ever-so-slightly flimsier DVD cases with no memory card holder. It's no big deal to me really.. the cases don't feel like they're going to fall apart and I never used the memory card holder to begin with. They have the PS logo inside, so it's legit. Also, the cases are all open, but the games are behind the register. They're all technically new -- and GameStop will treat it as new if you request it to be lightly taped or shrinkwrapped in the event that you should want to return it or gift it to someone who may want to do the same. Also, since they are NEW, the EDGE discount doesn't work, but they're already amazing deals. All in all, a sweet sale. On an unrelated note, I'm thinking of going back for Metal Slug Anthology and Twisted Metal Head-On (both for PS2, $18, used). Worth it?
Speaking of Gamestop is there anyone who works there or knows how many MGS4 system bundles most stores are likely to get.
This 50% extra on trade-in credit is only on a flyer. Also, there's a $30 extra trade in credit for used consoles. Excludes GameCube, GBA SP, GBA, GBA Micro and everything else older than a PS2.
I got today Wii controller rechargeable battery and changer new for $10 Wii the house of dead 2.3 return new for $20 ps2 soulcalibur 3 new for $10
Hmm.. all right. I'll just end up getting MSA eventually... and who knows what else?! XD SotC looks appealing.
For the record, I scored one of the last two copies of Katamari Damacy for PS2...and on a related note, I scored a copy of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution for PS2, brand new, for $1.99 at Best Buy....weird.
poo... why did I go and get a PS3 that lacks BC... oh well guess I might dig out my PS2 if I can find something awesome to play (eg SotC, haven't played it yet...) I've pretty much played everything there is on the original xbox (hurray for working at Hollywood Video/Game Crazy!) Guess I'm looking for WII/GC, X360, PS2, PS3, and maybe PS1 (for PS3/PSP eboot). Any recommendations?
Eh, I thought the game was pretty solid. But to each their own, I guess. In regards to the Gamestop sale, I picked up a copy of Sega Superstars Tennis for the Wii for only $20. Not too bad. The game is actually not too bad, either. Brings back a lot of memories from the Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast eras.
