I believe last year someone asked me about this one. At that time it was still at my relative's place in Japan and didn't get it till now.

Looking at this one I found few things very interesting compared to other import cart/ARP4-1 cart.

This is basically a cheat device with a lot of cheat codes loaded in the cart but it also bypass the region checking just like ARP. Unlike APR4-1 however it only supports 1MB - guess it was released before 4MB RAM cart was released? - and surprise, surprise, also supports Direct Save feature. This is the first import cart that I come across that support the direct save. All others force you to save to Saturn's internal memory and then transfer to the cart memory. This thing bypass all that and let you save directly to the cart? I wonder why all other import cart/4-1 cart do not have this feature? And lastly it comes with search unit w/ LCD screen that lets you to search the cheat code easily... from its description it's to avoid the need to connect the cart to PC to search the codes...

one of these days I will take out one of my unmod'd Saturn to test drive this baby...

p.s. checked out GameTech web site but curiously they list no Saturn products yet there are FC/GB products???

Gametech is a Tokyo based (I think) 3rd party crap maker, they have a shop in Akiba and make those shitty Neo Famis. The X-Terminator line of cheat devices is IMO their best stuff and I bet I was the person who commented on it on the last board. I want to get a cheap completish minty SS one just like yours. The PSX Xploder I believe is the UK version of the PSX X-Terminator. The first X-T is for SFC.

It's FAR better than a ARP since you can find cheats in games like a rela Action Replay which you can't do in a crappy ARP. I think Karat may have something to do with Xterminators too

there are few X-Terminator series for DC, PS1, PS2 among others...
    are they all by GameTech?
you're right PS1 X-Terminator looks like PS1 Xploder - dunno which is the original...

saw there were SS X-Terminator as well as SS X-Terminator v3.0. haven't seen v2.0 though but logically there should be one...

I've seen a 2.0. I'm sure theres a mess of them on YJ but too lazy to look 'em up, must find money first.

Edit: I see now... Gametech (Japan) == Blaze (Europe) == X-plorer (UK) == Xploder (US)

Karat, Datel and EMS I guess are the only other ones. But Karat uses the Pro Action Replay name so maybe Karat isn't just a Datel knockoff. I'm not sure why I like cheat devices, I don't like cheating in videogames. Christ, everything Karat sells is $100+!
