With my luck, I'd probably be assigned to test the latest rehashed Madden title for weeks on end. I'd rather flip burgers than do that! :)

rephrased it reads "What to work your arse off for little to no overtime pay because you didn't read the fine print on your contract on the reverse side?. Then feel intimidated or threatened if you want to quit"

My brother told me a story about those arse holes down in EA. They f*cked his company right and proper.

    ...Blimey, such a thing exists?

I screwed up my english coursework and it didn't get sent off, so I got an F for that.
I reckon a well-written letter could sway their anti-bad-english-grade attitude.
I don't really mind the location, I don't mind the wage or the hours but I really do mind EA.
    Never! Ever!
    EA = EVIL

Hang on, 40 hours a week at £5:50 an hour?
Is this a part-time job or are you supposed to support yourself with bills, rent and food (not to mention travel) with that?
    I just thought about it, that's £220/week, around £11k a year.
My 2 oldest brothers fix computers at work, one does more techincal support and the other does networks, all pretty easy, for around £35k/yr.

Still, the prospect of playing Timesplitters 3 for money seems good =)

I did something similar a few years ago for X-Box but I was working a lot of flexible hours at a full time salary so really wasn`t the end of the world at £5 per hour.

Got to see/test X-Box before it was released anywhere.

There is one on GamesBiz or somewhere for testing a GAME in London from 1700-2300 for £5.50

    Will find the details shortly

    Here we go...

And what's wrong with Surrey? Exactly?

(Bearing in mind I live there and will sacrifice the first born of anyone who disses it)

I would very much like to just ruin the entire company...

They don't make anything I give a shit about, it's a horrible company, terrible for the industry. I think that gamers in general should just do a bit of cooperative industrial sabotage and just rid ourselves of the bastards.

I mean seriously, how hard can it really be?

I'd walk in; get hired; and then steal as many dev hardware that I can carry with my own two hands. Selling it on ebay is equivelant to about 4 months worth of pay at that job lol.

Yeah, it's S*L*A*V*E*R*Y, like you guys said. But it's good slavery. I just finished 6 weeks of overtime, every day including weekends, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. In that time I've gotten 4 days off, because that's what the law says is the minimum.

However I made $2400 last month with all the overtime, which is a lot for me since I have no bills and cheap rent. I've bought a flat screen monitor, Xbox, a new phone, and a new PDA, and still managed to save a thousand dollars. So I'm not complaining there. But I am glad to have my life back now.

You know what my job is? I show up on time. Everyone else (including my boss) rolls in at minimum half hour late every day. Everyone fucks around all day, talking, cracking jokes, throwing shit at each other, etc. Once in a while somebody finds a bug that's truley destructive and everyone stops what they're doing to go look at it. Most of the people there write 2 or 3 bugs a week. In the meantime I write minimum 15 a day. So what happens is when the next build comes out you have to check all the ones you found to see if they fixed them. So everyone else has one or two pages while I have 40 pages. But I still manage to write 15 bugs a day, even with ten times more work than everyone else. So now the levels I work on are clean while the other levels are all fucked up, and I said fuck it and started writing bugs for other people's levels, essentially doing all their work also... so when Destroy all Humans comes out pay attention to how clean the first four levels are.

Whatever, crazy rant is over. I still like my job. It beats making iced venti lattes, that's for sure.

I don't think I'd be as devoted if the game didn't have as much asskicking in it as it does (like say, a generic EA football title.) Plus EA are bitches.
