According to this add for the Famicom Disc System you could download games from a download station for 5-00 yen. First I ever heard of this.

How long have you been in japan? You didn't think the FDS games that came on a plain disc in a plain FDS cover were just people be careless and losing the instructions?

Next you'll notice that some old terminals in Lawson convience stores have Super Famicom cartridge slots.

 

Bloody hell, if I was a parent reading that I'd be telling my kids that system was a load of crap :lol: Breaks easily and takes a lot of effort to use. Of course we know it isn't but that manual really doesn't make you think WOW! MUST BUY.
