Hi all, i'm travelling to tokyo after christmas and will be based in shinjuku, what i'm wondering is there any good gaming shop there? I'll be visiting all the well know ones in central tokyo, but was wondering if there were any "back street jems" hidden around.
Shinjuku is probably one of the most populated areas of Tokyo, so yes you'll find plenty of shops, just look in any department store. As for "back street gems" uhh...correct me if I'm wrong (others) but maybe Shinjuku isn't THE place for that, more likely Akihabara or some outskirt ward of Tokyo. However I have heard of some good electronic shops in Shinjuku. I've only been there a few times on leisure, the rest has been business, so I haven't had much time to explore it.
from shinjuku just go three stops to nakano with the chuo-line, then enter the boradway and you will find tons of gems. btw. if you go there, you could check out if that yamyam gold is still there in the galaxy game-store, some people in are sheerly dying for an answer :lol:
lol, i'm well aware of those alleys.... and if i get chance, i'll get a picture of the yam yam gold - if no-one else has done so by then.
Lol, good luck getting a (decent) picture without being told to not take a picture by the staff. Tried it at a concert recently, after being approached 3 times by the staff (I kept on sneaking pictures though) this huge bodyguard came up to me and I could no longer pretend to be the no-Japanese understanding foreigner as I'm pretty sure he was gonna kick me out elsewise...
That's only in a very, very small (and secluded) part of Shinjuku. Most of Shinjuku's fuuzoku establishments cater to the average, every day guy that doesn't mind paying for a blow job. Shinjuku 2-chome.
lol, i'm staying on the north edge of Kabukicho - it's funny that no-one mentions the red light district until you'vre paid that non-returnable deposit. I dare say i'll be out on the piss every night anyway, so i'll probably be exposed to all that.
Just make sure not to get cought by one of those black host men who are sniping horny western tourists. At first I didn't really know what they this Japanese guy was up to (I had no idea I was in the redlight distrct) untill he began to immitate some doggystyle sex and simultaneosly repeated "Sekks!! Sekks!!" :lol:
Yeah, those guys that reel you in are fucking hillarious. Their gestures and whatnot... I wonder if there's a hand book.
