Couldn't they have started us on franchises which are a little less gay? If they stick to the kiddie stuff then I don't see this catching on like in Japan.

 

Just a shame that Bandai don't make the best Gashapon stuff anyway. I've found that over the years Yujin are easily the kings of Gashapon.

Eh, it's at least a start, and that makes me happy. Although oddly enough there's been a Gashapon machine that sells Pokemon toys at the local Mexican restaraunt (of all places) for the past few years or so.
Here's hoping these machines turn up in arcades with some of the more videogame-themed toys.

 

We have had the Bandai Gashapon machines for ages, some of the stuff has been wank (Gundam? please...) while other stuff has been pretty good like the .hack// PS2 game and FFX stuff.

 

Indeed. They make about a MILLION Gundam ones.... and that's about it.

 

I will buy Godzilla gashapon stuff in a heartbeat. But other stuff has to be like, cool, for me to get into it.
