Borrowed a game Q with the view to swapping it for some spare gaming items I have, however it's got no leads other than the JP power lead, a couple places seem to discourage using a US 110v stepdown and so far I've been unable to find a JP 100v one (maplins couldn't help).
As for connecting to to the TV.. Does anyone still provide a modified scart service before I'm forced to buy a component cable? While I'm on about this cable how does the sound work as unlike a ps2/3 component cable I have it looks like it has no av output.
wondering if this is is worth the hassle now.

    advice is welcomed

US stepdown should be fine, as most electronics tend to have a 10% tolerance. Just make sure it has more than enough amps - a 50W rated one shouldn't be too expensive. The modified scart RBG cables are made using component or D-terminal cables, so if anything you'd end up paying more for someone to make one. You could always just use the composite or S-video output. As for audio, it has left and right RCA jacks on the back of the console; as far as I'm aware the digital output only works with DVDs, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
