hi! i've just read on this forum http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?35049-Dumping-GB-and-GG-carts that the GB Transferer II has problems dumping GBC cartridges if they use a Macronix chip (and most of them do). Yesterday i tried to dump my pokemon silver and i got a lot of bad dumps with wrong CRCs and if i compare them with a good dump i have they all have some differences (in different places!). So im wondering if pokemon silver uses this Macronix chip or if there is another problem im not aware of (like a copy protection?) thanks!
I've never been able to dump pokemon silver/gold/crystal with my gb tranferer II, only the save file can be saved correctly. And yes Pokemon gold/silver/crystal uses a MX (MacroniX?) chip.
but it works perfectly for the pokemon saves i guess this is what you need the most ok thanks, did you get (as i did) all different (and wrong) dumps?
Are there any alternative programmers still available that work perfectly with gb and gbc games? Maybe even any better solutions to dump/upload game saves to retail carts?
