I was just wondering if the marketed GBA color schemes as shown below: was ever released? I remember it being a let down when I couldn't buy the white-teal one, just a crappy indigo instead...
I had forgotten all about those. I don't think they were ever released, but I could be wrong. At least, I've never seen any real pictures of them. I think there might have been prototype units like that, though.
Do want! Maybe we can convince some chinese replacement case factory to make a few batches of those colored buttons to mod the plain white models with? OTOH, I stopped using my GBA because of the crappy-dark screen, so unless I can find an Afterburner kit too (or something similar), so mine would probably just end up in a drawer again anyways.
