I hope this can be a bit cheaper than the other flash carts. If an Ez Flash IV is about 40$, this should be no more than 50$.
Fat chance. The Ever drive GB was like 65 to 90$, I bet you this will cost even more. The Ez-flash are mass produce so you can definitely get it for that quite of price. But I fu***** hate the ez-flash that why I want an ever drive solution. I willing to fork a 100$ plus just to get something that is more user friendly and optimized.
GBA ED would be worth double the EZ Flash price for sure. Especially with improvements to the menu and emulation. One question would be whether it can play GB/GBC games directly?
I really hope he supports all roms from the get go, I love Krikzz and don't mind supporting him, but it's always a bummer early adopting only to see a better model come down the line
It's possible to make the EZIV play GB and GBC games no problem, not sure if it's emulated or not though...
I feel like a neo geo everdrive is really reaching in terms of hopes, I get that it could certainly serve a niche, but ultimately a GBA card definitely serves more people as quality GBA flash carts get harder to obtain. I know the EZFlash 4 has seen a resurgence in availability out of china, but a new cart that supported all released roms + required no extra patching on the users part would be a godsend.
I hope he adds native GB/GBC support for the Micro so we can just drag and drop the ROMs over for a nice all in one solution.
A gba everdrive? That's the best thing ever! It should be able to accept micro sdhc cards, give you just almost 100% compatibility with no patches what so ever, and (maybe, ez flash iv did it, so I don't see why this can't have it) also let you set a wallpaper or custom theme to the os. This is awesome though, can't wait til it comes out!
It looks like Stone Age will be showing off a functional prototype of the GBA Everdrive next week at Too Many Games. My friends and I are skipping this show for the first time in 4-5 years and this is the only thing that's made me think twice about it. I'd rather order directly from Krikzz though, so I'll just wait for him to throw it up on his site.
