Anyone played that game already? It has been out for some time apparently though I just got to know it through some recent insertcredit article. It's one of those "shooting meets music" games like Every Extend Extra, noiz2sa, Rrootage etc. ... just without the shooting part. Basically you collect small items while avoiding the shrapnel thrown out by explosions. You can download it here and it is now also available on real cartridge for quite cheap. So, where are the fans of that kind of games?
I got the cartridge version, as you say stupidly cheap for what is a really well formed game. I like it for its shooter style gameplay really. I just get a buzz for really letting myself go and bouncing of the walls really sharply and see how many cubes I can pick up in say 4:30 mins before things start getting really hectic on screen. So yeah, count me in as a fan. You got any high scores you wanna brag/compare? And for those who don't have it, I say pick up the cartridge. Feels like a proper game and looks great on my DS screen.
Were can you buy the cart? update: sorry I just found it: http://www.mrdictionary.net/blastarenacart/
Not yet. Just played it a few times and while avoiding the shrapnel is not really hard I have to get the bouncing right and become a lot faster. But what about you? Post your high score and I'll see how long it takes me to beat it. Taliking about homebrew games of this kind, Vulkanon is a rather nice bullet hell shooter, also for the GBA. Worth checking out.
