just a litle topic to say that (like the title say) the gba production have stoped NOT GBA SP. they want to focus on the sp ,wich is a better seller thant the gba . so if you want a new gba to add on your collection you must speed up!
Well, when design is concerned I prefer the original GBA, thats not mentioning the screen though which is a grillion times worse.... :Hangman:
for me my ideal game boy would be horizontally orientated, with a nice backlit screen and with sides which fold over to cover/protect the screen. Also a rechargable battery and headphone port. Basically taking the best bits from both the plain GBA and SP. EDIT: decided to vote for the SP as for me the screen outweighs all of its disadvantages
i cant really tell wich i like the best , i love all the two design but gba sp is really better for everything , but gba is cheapier .... :smt017 ey , anyone have a site that talk about moding the gba screen to have a gba sp like screen (retro-lighted ? )? i view something like that on a site , but i can't find it anymore.
personally i bought a gba in 2001 and didnt think much of it so i aint too fussed either way, but id say gba was more comfortable than the sp though the sp is more easily portable
I like the original GBA better as well, but like Antipasta said, the screen is way worse :smt011 Still, it is more comfortable.
In their current states, my vote goes hands down to the SP. Before getting one, I thought they looked awkward and small, but after having one for close to a year, I couldn't give it up for the original GBA design at all, especially not with that screen. Plus there wasn't a Famicom Edition GBA, just the SP, so all the more reason to stick with mine (unless I could get an Afterburner put in that Chobits model GBA... :smt023 )
I never got a SP, so i can't say much about it. Mine it's the original GBA, with it's dark screen. Anyway, i think the SP is better. it's more portable, has better screen (with lightning) and the screen is more protected to scratches .
indeed , the sp is (and\ or will be ) more durable. its a plus. but for the gba to gc conection , the original gba design is better, its more like a game pad ( i personally prefer it for this )
