    Hi all,

I've got a Gameboy Advance SP (101) that requires a significant amount of force to actuate the up direction. I've taken it apart, and the problem appears to be with the actual switch on the board, meaning that the switch itself requires a lot of pressure, rather than being an issue with the pads on top of it. I tried spraying compressed air in case there was dust in between, and I tried Deoxit. It seems like it may have helped slightly, but it still requires far too much force, such that it's not really playable.

Any thoughts as to what might be wrong, and how to fix it?

Thanks so much for any ideas!

I’ve seen this before, I usually fix it by peeling off the top layer of the switch, cleaning it and then resealing it with tape if the old adhesive cover won’t stay on
