I'm sure everyone has seen the funky remote control robot that's available for the WonderSwan? What I never knew was that there was a remote control Zoid for the GBA. Seems pretty damn cool. Any of the Japanese members of the forum come across these before? It seems there's a game on the cart as well as being able to control the Zoid. Are these the only 2 handheld robots? Was there anything like this for the GG or NGPC? I love building Zoid model kits. Just finished Gojulas Giga the other day, and managed to slice my thumb open with Stanley knife. :die
Yeah, I've seen them quite a few times. As far as I can tell there are 2 types or they could be just two different games. It's hard to tell with GBA stuff thanks to all those rip-off red, blue, silver, gold versions of the same game. Tomy make alsorts of stuff like those Zoids though. They even have really small cars that you can control with your mobile phone ! Yakumo
Yes, it seems there are more verisons of this. The red Diablotiger is the Ltd. version, with the blue being standard. There is also CDZ-02 Cyclops, a Triceratops style Zoid. These actually seem quite cool. You get a small remote with each model, and require the GBA infared cart (sold separate!) to upload new stuff. But the models actually fire BBs, and have hit sensors. However, it seems these weren't too popular so it never got past proto stage which is a shame as this is quite impressive.
