Hi, I installed a Xeno Modchip to my GC but for some reason it doesn't read backups. The status leds change from red to orange so it should be working. I tried playing a backup of Super Smash Bro. Melee on a regular size sony dvd and it doesn't recognize the disc, yet the original copy (all scratched up works fine). I tried the backup on my Modded Wii and it works fine so apparently it was burned ok. Anybody have any ideas to what may be the problem?

Could be the POT. I have 3 gamecubes, only 1 of which would load backups at all. The other 2 wouldn't. Adjusting the pot should help. Here's a little guide that explains the whole process http://128bit.me/index.php?topic=26113.0

I had already went down to 145Ohms so I'm a little afraid of going lower. Still unsure if I should go down to 135 and see if that helps

I had to go as low as 80 ohms to get mine to read.

I find different brands of disks have a big difference in your success rate also.
Good that you found the sweet spot.
