Figured there might be some other people here who picked up GCSE results. Here's mine English Language - U Already passed last year, kinda wished they'd let me do lit from the start of this year. Mathematics Linear - C English Literature - C Humanities - B - They figure something shonky went on with the marking so they're resubmitting it with my permission. Nothing to lose eh? Food Technology - B Diploma in digital applications (DIDA, Basically a BTEC in IT)- Pass so 4 C's effectively. Science - B Additional Science - B Pleased with my grades but pissed off at my school. The guy running media studies said he was certain they would be running media studies. I come to ask today and they don't think they're running it. He was on holiday and so I'll have to try email him but If I definately want to do media studies I need to find another sixth form or college within two weeks that will be running it. To go from ''Certain'' to most teachers not even knowing if it'll be run is a pretty big leap and effectively a career in video editing (The real name is something like Film and radio production) is right out the window. Really can't be arsed running around trying to get into another sixth form less than two weeks before it starts which I figure I have no chance really so I aren't bothering, will just find something else to do.

Congratulations. Out of curiosity, why did you resit English Language if you'd already obtained a pass last year?
School forced me. Some Uni's want it for film/media productions and the like. I was figuring on doing that along with Psychology, sociology and A-Level IT. They aren't offering A-Level IT so I'll have to do B-tec instead. I'm seeing this as just another chapter, Universities prefer media studies, but it's not necessary so I aren't worried.
