    Plugged mine in the other day and it didnt even power on so you`re in a better position with yours than I am with mine right now.

    Well, you should first try to check every connections on the lens and on the motor that makes the infinite screw spin (what makes it move actually).

    Does the lens seek ?(you can see it moves up and down)

    You couold also try to replace teh drive with the same kind of drive it's based of (cdr400 i think) simply look at the board and check what's written on it. You might then have to reflash the drive to input the gd-writer firmware, it's easy.

    nope the drive does not seek, just sits there.
