After perusing the threads on here a I can tell this place is right up my alley. Nice forum and I look forward to participating! Currently getting my gaming room in order, will post some pics when it gets underway. The goal is to have a range of consoles (both retro and not so retro) permanently connected to my BVM-A20F1U through a SCART switch. I've made some drawings in Autocad so I have a bit of a plan about how to proceed. I think a Sega Blast City or two is also in my future I've been out of the shmups scene for years, but playing Ikaruga again (on steam this time) has reignited my love with the genre. I've just started putting together a JPN Saturn game collection, I ordered Soukyugurentai and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Also I've been spending an unhealthy amount of time on Bangai-o (DC) and Resogun (PS4) lately. Both highly recommended if you haven't experienced them! Working for a Japanese company I've been lucky enough to travel there on business, Tokyo was so impressive to me that I've since started learning Japanese and am making steady progress. Funnily enough before I travelled there I had absolutely no interest in the place. Will be taking the family over there for a visit at the first opportunity. Learning the language should supplement my shmup addiction nicely. Anyway enough rambling and thanks for having me.
