Given the number of game developers here, I was wondering if anyone else is going to be attending the Game Developers Conference 2010? I am going (as I managed to snag a all access pass) to the International Games Festival 2010 but I am going to attend some summits too. So if anyone going or is in the San Francisco / San Jose area around March 8 to 14 wants to meet up for a drink. :thumbsup:
The All Access Pass is the only way to do GDC. Would love to go again, but it was too expensive to go on my own dime.
Gosh, I am not sure my diary can cope with all these people going... But you are right mairsil the AAP is expensive being around $1000 (at minimum) to $2000 depending on when you book it. Thankfully I know some people at the GDC so managed to persuade them to give me a ticket even though I am not a developer or publisher or even work for a games company. Still be nice to meet up some members in the SF area, so they could at least show me a decent bar or two.
That's putting it in simple terms, you have to attend the mobile game summit, have a fully paid AAP (so being a comp means I can't get one) and even then only a few people will get them...
Right currently the morning in San Francisco, going to get my GDC pass a bit later and going to attend a few of the summits for fun Here is the view from my hotel window (at night and now).
ehh.. I could never get into the GT series...Now that I think about it, I haven't been interested in racing games since Crusin' USA.
