The manuals go into extreme detail on how to protect the equipment but they tend to generalize alot too. I ve got development mode on one GDEV and it does .elf files fine whereas my other gdev looks for NPDP-cart even when it's connected to the ODEM. Go figure.
hm.. well as I only got parts of one and not a complete working one and only seen pics of a complete I'm pretty sure there is no switch for it on the hardware.. so I'm guessing that you like on the katana set it into some speciall mode through some software on your computer. but more than that I can't say with out getting myself a gdev (which I was close to last weak btw. ^^)
yeah. I think that's the one.. thought it was missing the odem card and cables.. so it wasn't really much you could do with it if I understand it correctly. btw. I've heard about the single-writer for npdp.. but I've never seen one. do they really exist?
not in the official tool set nintendo has for developers. Certainly nintendo themselves would surely have a single-cart one though. You have to make it work for one before it works for many
heh. that's true.. was just hoping that if I wanted to some day - when I'm millionaire and swim around in champagne and eat lobster for breakfast (now I made myself feel sick..) - wanted to invest in a full GCN devkit with npdp writers and stuff I wouldn't have to go with the large gang-writer thought as I probably never going to become a millionaire I don't have to worry about that
