I am on my first (and only) GDEV, but seem to have some issues sending code to it from my development host PC, via the ODEM card.

After I have booted up both the host and the gdev, gone to the command line and ran odemrun with the proper switches, in order to load an .elf file (from the SDK's bunch, for testing) the GDEV reboots itself (reboot shown in the telnet window from the GDEV's serial debug output) , the screen flickers for less than a second, but to my surprise no code is loaded. Instead, it displays the same message that it would as if someone had just turned it on. The message that says that no NPDP cart has been found.

I have followed all proper precautions in installing the hardware of course, and the appropriate software, and would not consider myself a "n00b" (though I try avoiding using words like that, anyway).

Could someone kindly advise me regarding the nature of my problem at hand? A faulty GDEV? A faulty ODEM? or something else?

    Thanks,

    Barc0de

PS: Based on what I ve seen in this website, the author is informed about the ways of the GDEV and other development kits, so could ASSEMbler please advise? Of course any one else knowing is welcomed too!

I hope this post isn't looked upon in a bad way, but since no one has replied..well.. anyone with some advice regarding the above problem? :banghead: Exprerienced GDEV owners, your help would be most appreciated

  3. Have you tried running stuff from the ODEM GUI app itself rather than the command line?
