The HUB was a scrapped plan of some mini-campaign of sorts, but by the length of how much content there is, it feels like it was a planned DLC that was eventually scrapped. PLOT: There isn't much known except for what is shown, which is that there are two COG soldiers, Hawk and Bulldog, that drove and found themselves at a bunker with quite a few survivors in there. Every nightfall, a wave of Locust try to break into the bunker and your team, including yourself, have to defend the HUB from the Locust attack. During the daytime, you can talk to the survivors and help them with their problems and needs. GAMEPLAY: There is actually a decent amount of things to do here, defending your base as well as missions to do during the day time. Missions will give you rewards such as clearing the Lighthouse mission will give you an extra person to help you with missions. Clearing the turret mission will give you turrets to defend your HUB at night. When its sunset, you can build around your base, deploying barricades, snipers, turrets, and anything else to make sure you survive the night.
There seemed to be a lot of potential with this mode, especially the base building parts. Shame it was canned, could've been something pretty unique/fun
