Why does it say that the game only supports 8 players online and not that many via system link? It seems pretty shitty, will it work with eight 360 machines on link?
I'm pretty sure it does, but since I haven't tried, not totally sure. I do know that only 2 players can be local, but I guess that doesn't help. The old Halos let you have like 16 boxes didnt it? or just 4? I don't remember.
In the manual it says the game supports 8 players in a game on both system link and xbox live. Thus it sounds not to be limited at all. You should be able to have any number of systems on a LAN, however only 8 total players can get in the same game as the game is max 4v4. You could have 1 person per system or a mix some split screened.
